How do I submit for extra pay for call shifts?
How do I submit my call shifts for extra pay?
Before you begin, do you have an RDBC account?
If not, please see Create an RDBC Account. Call stipends are redeemed through RDBC so you must have an RDBC account before moving forward.
Go to the RDBC Call Stipend submission page and log into your RDBC Account
Fill out the form within 30 days of that rotation’s last date (not within 30 days of that call shift). If you fill it out after 30 days, you need to contact RDBC.
Wait for your call stipends to automatically get added to your regular paycheque.
How much do I get paid for call shifts?
You are entitled to extra pay for working shifts when you are on-call. This extra pay is called a call stipend.
The amount of the call stipend will depend on what type of call shift you did. The exact details are negotiated by RDBC, our union, and can be found in our Collective Agreement.
In an attempt to simplify your life, we have provided a quick summary table. Please note that RDBC automatically calculates the correct amount that you should receive for your call so you don’t need to figure it out yourself. The table is just for your information.
