What websites are essential to bookmark?

There are a ton of websites that you’ll want to keep easy access to. To keep them organized, we’ve organized them into three groups: UBC PGME Sites, Administrative Items, and Clinical Practice.

UBC PGME Sites

UBC RMS
  • Register as a resident
  • Log stat days worked
  • Attain Letter of Offer and Academic Records

  • Evaluate preceptors and lecturers
  • Receive evaluation from preceptors
  • View how many flex days and conference days used
  • View how many lieu days earned
Entrada
  • Access orientation material during IMGO
  • Access information regarding rural rotations
T-Res (Family Practice Only)
  • Log activities (i.e., patient encounters/cases)
UBC CPD
  • Register for conferences, workshops, and lectures for continuing education
  • Note that some of these events are free for residents

Administrative Items

Website Purpose
RDBC Collective Agreement
  • View details of your rights as a resident including call stipends, call scheduling, and paid leave.
RDBC Submitting Call Stipend
  • Submit the call shifts that you worked to get your call stipends.
UBC SSC
  • Pay for annual registration fees
  • Update direct deposit banking information (for expense reimbursements)
  • Attain tax forms
Online Pay Statements
  • View paystubs/pay statment

Clinical Practice

This section is really only relevant for FM residents.

Pathways
  • To aid BC primary care physicians
  • Directory of clinicians / specialists to help you find clinicians to refer your patient to (includes estimated wait times, required referral forms, and special interests/restrictions)
  • Resources for patients and for clinicians
Up to Date
  • Evidence based summaries of everything medical, including drugs, clinical presentations, and management decision aids.
BC Guidelines
  • Clinical practice guidelines and protocols specific to BC
RACE
  • RACE = Rapid Access to Consultative Expertise
  • BC program connecting primary care providers to specialists for urgent advice within 2 hours
  • Very helpful for those in rural or remote areas with limited access to specialists
Family Med Links
  • Peer created repository of helpful links for UBC FM residents
Drug Search
  • Find out the price of drugs to help your patient find the most affordable option (note that these prices are before pharmacy-specific mark-up costs)
  • Find out if the drug you’re prescribing is covered by any federal health plans
Pharmacy Compass
  • Find out the price of drugs depending on pharmacy including mark-up costs and dispensing fees
